HEAT taking referrals
Participants gain:
- A nationally recognised qualification, Certificate II in Hospitality Operations and on-going assistance to find work placement and employment.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- Barista Certificate
- Support to find full or part time employment on completion of training and 16 weeks additional support in maintaining employment.
The HEAT program incorporates industry training, work readiness, personal and group support. HEAT is delivered in a flexible informal learning environment and helps young people gain self esteem, valuable experience with local businesses a secure transition into long-term employment.

HEAT is a practical youth re-engagement program delivered from the SKYS Learning Centre in Port Melbourne. It is an innovative and practical program that assists young people in developing self esteem; gaining accredited training qualification in the hospitality industry, work experience in local businesses and prepares them for the world of work.
